Kazantzakis International Airport, 3 minutes driving from the center of Hersonissos and another 30 minutes driving from the City of Heraklion, the 2.000 B.C. Minoan Knossos Palace, and the Venetian Harbor. From the east side there is the picturesque town of Agios Nikolaos (30 km) and the summer ancient Minoan Palace of Malia (5 km). These rooms are in our new building across the road, right opposite from the main entrance of the Hotel, approx. 150 m. away (To cross the road and come to the main Hotel’s area, there is an underground passage available approx. 250 m. away from the Annex building). The Annex building has its own swimming pool and a very nice pool-snack bar). D) Standard Family Room. They have a children room with 2 single beds separated from the main sleeping room which has 1 double bed plus 2 single beds or a bunk bed. (Max. occupancy 4 adults + 2 children). It has also an extra W.C. separated from the main bathroom. E) Superior Family room. Same decoration and facilities like the standards, only that they are more spacious. (max. occupancy 5 adults + 1 child). F) Star Suite. New rooms, constructed in 2016, only a few meters from the beach. Open plan sleeping-living room with 1 double bed plus an extra single bed. (Max. occupancy 3 adults). Extra facilities exclusively for the Suites: -Bathrobes & slippers -Special bath amenities -Basket of fruits & wine upon arrival -Full fridge with mineral water & soft drinks (refresh daily) -One-time free use of the Jacuzzi in our spa center per person, per stay -One-time free 10 min. massage in our spa center per person, per stay IMPORTANT NOTE: The Hotel has 6 rooms in the main building special designed for handicapped (easy access with wheelchair). They have larger doors according to the International Standards, direct access from and to the reception, the lobby, and the main restaurant with a lift, shower instead of a bath and all the necessary equipment in the bathroom and the toilet to sit, stand and hold. Swimming Pool: The Hotel’s main swimming pool, open only for hotel clients with fresh water, depth from 20cm-140cm, size 700 square meters with open-air Jacuzzi and separate children pool. Deck chairs and umbrellas are with no charge around the pool. In Water Park, also open to non-Star Beach Village clients, there are 8 swimming pools for everybody’s taste. Basic package food & beverage description: “Minos” Main Restaurant In-door & out-door restaurant (no smoking area). It is in the main building of the Hotel. Breakfast, lunch & dinner served in buffet style, self-service. Operation hours: 07:30 – 10:30. Serves full American breakfast. 13:00 – 14:30. Lunch buffet accompanied by soft drinks, draught beer, local wine (bottle), mineral water, filter coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices. 18:30 – 21:30. Dinner buffet, accompanied by soft drinks, draught beer, local wine (bottle), mineral water, filter coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices. Remarks: -Show cooking stations: During breakfast: fried eggs, omelettes, crepes, waffles, fresh bread, smoothies etc. During dinner: Meat and fish a la minute, Pasta Corner, pastry action etc. -Every evening different theme buffet (Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican, European, Cretan etc.). -Special children menu in separate kids’ station. -Health & diet station. -Vegan & vegetarian station. -Cretan traditional corner. -Baby corner (microwave, blender, water boiler). “Cretan Star” Taverna It is located right in front of the Hotel, inside the Star Beach Water Park and has a spectacular view to the Cretan Sea (no smoking area). Breakfast, lunch & dinner served in buffet style, self-service. Operation hours: 08:00 – 10:00. Serves full American breakfast. 12:30 – 14:30. Lunch buffet accompanied by soft drinks, draught beer, local wine, mineral water, filter coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices. 18:30 – 21:30. Dinner buffet, accompanied by soft drinks, draught beer, local wine, mineral water, filter coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices. Dinner in buffet style. Operation hours: 18:30 – 21:30. Dinner buffet, accompanied by soft drinks, draught beer, local wine, mineral water, filter coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices. Remarks: Show cooking stations: Traditional Asian food (Chinese, Japanese, and Thai) cooked fresh every evening. Guests must pre-book their dinner at least one day before. “Dionyssos” Pool-Snack Bar Out-door Bar (next to the Hotel’s swimming pools). Operation hours: 10:00 – 24:00. It serves mineral water, filter coffee, hot beverages (espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate), tea, juices, soft drinks, long drinks, draught beer, as well as local wine and international spirits. Toasts, sandwiches, burgers, hot-dogs, pommes frites, ice cream, pizza, variety of salads & sorbets are being served between 10:00-18:30. “Helios” Lobby Bar In-door & out-door main bar (in the main building). Operation hours: 15:00 – 23:00. It serves mineral water, filter coffee, hot beverages (espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate), tea, juices, soft drinks, long drinks, draught beer, as well as local wine and international spirits. 16:00 till 17:30 “Coffee break” served with assorted pastries. 17:30 till 19:30 “Champaign time”. “Blue Star” Beach Bar Out-door beach bar (at the west side of the water park, right in front of the sea). Operation hours: 10:00 – 18:00. It serves mineral water, filter coffee, hot beverages (espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate), tea, juices, soft drinks, long drinks, draught beer, as well as local wine and international spirits. It also serves toasts, pommes frites, pizza, ice cream & variety of salads in salad bar. 12:00 till 17:00 wok bar with meat & fish choices from the guests, cooking fresh a la minute. “City” Pool-Snack Bar Out-door bar (located in the Annex building right next to the swimming pool of the Annex). Operation hours: 10:00 – 18:00. It serves mineral water, filter coffee, hot beverages (espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate), tea, juices, soft drinks, draught beer, and local wine. Toasts, pommes frites, ice cream, pizza, and Greek salads are being served between 10:00-17:00. “Thalassa” Beach Bar Out-door beach bar (at the east side of the water park, right in front of the sea). Operation hours: 10:00 – 18:00. Serves filter coffee, hot beverages (espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate), tea, mineral water, soft drinks, & draught beer. General Remarks: *Local drinks (ouzo, raki, and brandy), draught beer, long drinks, local red, rose & white wine, international spirits, soft drinks, coffees & juices, are included in the price only during the operation hours of the Hotel’s Departments. *The operation hours of the open-air Bars & Restaurants can be changed during the day due to weather conditions. *The operation of the Water Slides can be changed due to weather conditions. *All guests during their stay must wear a special bracelet received only from the Reception Desk upon arrival. *Direct access from the Hotel to the Water Park also through our underground passage. All Star Beach Village clients may enjoy all its activities and facilities from 10.00 to 19.00 hrs. The Star Beach Water Park has 2 areas, the right side (family area) is for those who are seeking peace and the left one for those who are looking for fun and action (sports & action area). It has a nautical base with water sports, Para-sailing, water ski, Jet bikes, Banana, Rings, multi tubes, lazy river, 4 giant slides with 2 multi tubes, kamikaze and black hole (total 6), another 2 mini water parks at the family area, Bungee Jump, Diving Center, Gym, Shopping Center, Photo shop, beach volley, 8 swimming pools, 2 lazy rivers, Jacuzzi, Kindergarten, Baby Pool, Mini Slides, Bank ATM (2), Internet and a great variety of “a la carte” bars and restaurants for all in the family.
