Phāea Cretan Malia, a member of Design hotels, exemplifies the vision of Phāea, seamlessly blending authentic Cretan heritage with conscious, contemporary hospitality. A serene haven on Crete’s northeast coast, the hotel’s design integrates low-rise buildings, open spaces, and lush Mediterranean gardens that harmonize with the island’s natural beauty. Interiors reflect Crete’s essence, with earthy tones, terracotta, sea blues, and natural textures, complemented by handcrafted furnishings and botanical murals by renowned Greek artists. The 204 accommodations, including guestrooms, bungalows, and suites, celebrate local craftsmanship with Cretan marble, chestnut wood, and rattan, creating an elegant, tranquil retreat. Spacious balconies and garden terraces extend the living areas outdoors, offering a deep connection to the surrounding landscape.
