Overview

This rural bolthole enjoys a peaceful setting at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains, with stunning views across the North Wales landscape. The pet-friendly property sleeps two guests and is perfect for couples and solo travellers who love to get out and about in nature. The area is awash with walking trails to explore, with waymarked routes passing the property and easy access to both Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) and the Clwydian Range. Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) is just 6.5 miles away and is the largest natural lake in Wales. The lake is a hub for water sports, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Keen mountain bikers will love Coed y Brenin (29 miles), where you’ll discover a vast network of woodland trails to explore. The Berwyn Mountains are the perfect place to get away from it all, often considerably quieter than neighbouring Eryri. Stride out along the long-distance North Berwyn Way, take a relaxing stroll by one of the many waterfalls, or climb to the summit of Cadair Berwyn for breathtaking, 360-degree views. Step up to the stone barn conversion from the veranda, into the main open-plan living space. This room is bursting with personality and charm, with whitewashed walls and exposed beams sitting alongside an array of colourful soft furnishings and quirky accessories, including a traditional working organ. The vibrant kitchen area has everything needed to rustle up a delicious dinner for two, which you can share at the cute, folding dining table by the window. At the opposite end of the room is a cosy lounge area, with plump seating arranged around a Smart TV. Spend time here, watching a film or reading a book, or pull back the net curtains and enjoy the far-reaching views from the comfort of the sofa. Completing the ground floor is a refreshing bathroom. When day turns to night, climb the statement spiral staircase to the double bedroom on the mezzanine floor. Fabulous exposed beams add a rustic charm to this room, and you can enjoy mountain vistas through the skylight as you relax in bed.
